George Davies' GIVe fashion label selects K3 to help lead the fashion pack
GIVe, the womenswear fashion label being launched by retail entrepreneur George Davies, has selected K3, the UK's largest provider of Microsoft Dynamics, to implement a single, fully integrated multi-channel solution that will support the web site, retail stores and concession partners, and call centres.
Davies, founder of Next, George at Asda and Per Una at Marks & Spencer, will be launching GIVe in 8 own stores, 16 concession partners and online on October 1st. K3 will implement Microsoft Dynamics to manage all sales channels, manage inventory and provide accurate, timely information for all users.
The Financial and Purchasing Ordering stages of the project have already gone live, with the full implementation due to commence in the Autumn, ready for the store openings and website launch. The project also includes the installation of information kiosks in stores, linking directly to the website enabling customers to look up items on line and check inventory.
Nigel Roberts, Head of Ecommerce, Systems and Logistics at GIVe said, "We wanted to launch an online venture that would shake up the world of fashion e-tail just as the Next Directory revolutionised home shopping back in the 80s. We wanted to have stores and an online channel that offers customers a fantastic experience at whatever point they connect with us, and in order to do so we knew we needed a robust and flexible system in place that could cope with all our plans." Roberts continued, "One of the department stores that we will be selling through as a concession partner is already a customer of K3's, so we were confident that K3 had the expertise and knowledge to provide us with a sound platform. We've been impressed with K3's ability to meet our requirements. What they said would be delivered has been delivered."
John Little, Sales Director at K3, said, "This is an exciting opportunity because it is not every day that a retailer launches in store and online at the same time. Our joined up solutions are ideal to ensure that GIVe can give its customers a consistent experience through all channels." Little continued, "We are creating a platform so information can be shared between our solution and the concessions. This will help GIVe manage the inventory, merchandising and price with its concession partners."
