Fiddes Payne spices up stock visibility with SYSPRO ERP
Dramatic return on investment with £500,000 saved in stock holding
Fiddes Payne, supplier of Jamie Oliver, Disney, and Mr Men and branded home baking products and branded herbs and spices, has invested in a SYSPRO ERP system from Manchester-based K3 Business Technology Group (K3).
The new fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) went live in June 2010 and has already helped in making a dramatic impact on Fiddes Payne's business, enabling them to reduce their stock investment by more than £500,000.
SYSPRO has replaced legacy systems to improve efficiencies and remove duplicated data entry by providing a centralised source of management information and reports. "SYSPRO ticks the boxes as a cost-effective integrated system. The new ERP system is already bringing much greater levels of visibility and stock control which has also improved our procurement operation. For our customers, it will enhance our service levels and overall satisfaction with more accurate and timely billing," says Hazel Barton, Financial Controller at Fiddes Payne.
A key requirement of the new SYSPRO system was to integrate the company's manufacturing, accounting and distribution operations. The company was looking for greater visibility of its business and better stock control.
SYSPRO is installed on site and is being managed by Fiddes Payne's in-house IT department. Fiddes Payne is a leading supplier of home baking products and herbs and spices. Through constant creativity, the company provides top quality, innovative products that deliver a high degree of customer satisfaction. The company holds BRC (British Retail Consortium) certification for its factory manufacturing standards.
